Crispy Fried Fish

酥炸魚排

 

Ingredients

337.5 grams (3/4 pound) fish fillets, about 2 fillets (walleye, cod, whitefish or tilapia)

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons seasoned salt (I used Creole seasoning)

1 egg

1/4 cup dark beer or water

1/2 cup Progresso™ panko crispy bread crumbs

 

Directions

In shallow dish, mix flour and seasoned salt. In shallow bowl, beat eggs and beer with whisk. Place bread crumbs in another shallow dish.

In electric skillet or deep fryer, heat about 2 inches oil to 350°F 177 degrees C. Coat both sides of fish fillets with dry flour mixture, then dip in wet beer/egg mixture, letting excess drip back into bowl. Then dip in bread crumbs.

Fry fish in batches in hot oil about 4 minutes, turning once, until golden brown. Drain. Serve hot.
